National Trust Signage Commissions
I am honoured to have been commissioned by The National Trust to create bespoke, hand-painted signage for their trails and events.
Below are some of my works for the Trust.
“How To Train Your Dragon” Trail - Bodiam Castle
This pair of signs were comissioned by Bodiam Castle to feature in their “How To Train Your Dragon” Trail event. I had to create works that fit with both the existing property-wide signage as well as the event-specific aesthetic which included Cressida Cowell’s artwork.
One sign is to encourage photography and social media engagement. The other is a playful warning sign aimed at preventing children from touching fragile event set pieces. These signs were commissioned as “emergency” pieces with 24-hour turnarounds from brief to completion and installment.
Seasonal Drinks - Bateman’s
This sign was commissioned by Bateman’s to promote their seasonal winter drinks specials. The target market were an older audience and I wanted to also reflect the florals invoked by Jungle Book imagery, with Bateman’s being the home of author Rudyard Kipling.
